Add Lists Button to Timeline Toolbar
Once "Lists" are completely implemented please consider adding a button for them in the "Combined View" taskbar. I use combined view because I don't like my twitter clients to be cluttered, I like them elegant and simple. The problem is that I also like "Lists," at least as a way to drill down into categories of people I follow. I can foresee that those who use the "Combined View" will not be able to use lists once they are implemented by you.
I have created a mockup to show one possible way of elegantly including lists in the combined view. The lists button that I have added could perhaps open a very small dropdown menu with a check next to the list that you are viewing.
Thank you for your consideration. This will make sure that those of us who like simplicity won't miss out on native Twitter features.

The company has not planned to implement this.

Inappropriate?Actually, I just realized that it would make WAY more sense to add this button over on the right hand side with the Trash, Mark As read, etc buttons. That being said, rather than redo the whole mockup, I think you can see where I am going with this.

Inappropriate?I renamed this item because you are actually modifying the timeline toolbar which we reuse for all timelines views, of which Combined View is really just one large timeline.
Lists in Combined View present an interesting problem, which we have not addressed for Nambu Groups either. We currently have nowhere to place a list of them, or display which Group you are looking at, which we do in Outline View.
The buttons you are changing there are actually specific to taking actions on a selected tweet or the timeline as a whole. For Lists, the action is to change the timeline in view to a different one, so we cant put it on this toolbar as the actions dont match. And we avoid popups because a good interface should not need too many of them, unless it is suggestive on input (like your Safari search bar).
I have attached a mockup that we have done for what Combined View will be moving to in about 2-3 weeks, perhaps sooner. This will be much better for drilling down while staying in Combined View. The inability to do that is one reason that I personally don't use Combined View much at all.
For Lists we will then have a select list of Lists to choose from, either combining them together into one timeline (the default) or viewing each List individually, which we already have setup for Outline View.
We are doing this differently than Nambu Groups because showing the List title in the Outline View (like Seesmic has done) does not work because you dont control the List's title size -- the List owner does. It simply wont be readable in a tight outline view.
Have a look. More thoughts definitely welcome.

Inappropriate?Very cool.
Thank you for the feedback, I love how responsive you guys are.
Your new features will likely do what I need them to.
I use lists in a very, very simple way. I only use private lists that I have made for myself, and in Twitter (on the website) I use them simply to look at tweets only by @Friends, @News, @Dev, @Other -- that kind of thing. It's honestly just to get CNET news away from my friends. Thats it. Nothing more.
So long as your functionality allows me to do this from the "Combined View" I am very happy.
I’m excited

Inappropriate? It will yes. You can actually add CNET et al on a List and never see that news in your Home timeline again, just in Lists. Might be better than dividing up everybody.
In Nambu combined view it will take two clicks however to get to a specific List the first time, and two to get to a new one, FYI. -
Inappropriate?Doesn't sound too bad :)
