Multiple Column View Gone?
Multiple Column View appears to be completely gone in the 2.0 Beta. Not even a button to click. I'm assuming (hoping) that this is one of those features that will be added soon, but I'm reporting it here in case it's a bug.

Nambu is currently the only Twitter client that I know that has more than two view options like we do, and it has been a challenge. However, multiple column view will come back, but we have no timeline for that.

This is pretty much a deal breaker for me. This is what drew me to Nambu in the first place. -
It will return. -
Inappropriate? Thanks, Eric! The multi-column view is pretty much my default (whether in Nambu, Tweetdeck, or Seesmic), so I'm looking forward to it.
I’m confident
-
Inappropriate? It was the first thing I noticed
-
Inappropriate?sad and confused. Multicolumn view can't come back quickly enough.
-
Inappropriate?Glad to hear multi-column view is coming back, hopefully sooner rather than later. This really is a key feature for me.
-
Inappropriate?Well, I personally love Nambu for its single-column, tree view. Just saying.
-
Inappropriate?Multiple column view does indeed set you apart when people scan the web looking for a Twitter desktop client. Add the local search to that and you shall truly RULE !!!!!!!!
I’m Encouraged!
-
Inappropriate?I used the beta for 20 seconds — without multiple column view, it doesn't suit my needs, and there's way too much clicking. I'm headed back to V1.2 until multi-column view returns. Don't delay too long, Nambu folks!
I’m A little down about it
-
Inappropriate?completely agree with Josh. I'm surprised you dropped your real differentiator and das that I'll have to carry on using Tweetie.
-
Inappropriate?Multiple columns was the main reason I used Nambu, too — that and the fact it was a native app. It's useless for me without it, so it's back so Seesmic Desktop until it makes it into a later beta...
I’m sad
-
Inappropriate?I can totally live with groups as they are right now but I am very much looking forward to the feature being added back in.
Remember, that is the major thing that makes Nambu unique among OS X clients, not that you have that much more competition with groups as they are, but EventBox does offer a similar feature.
Thanks, <3
I’m excited
-
Inappropriate? This really is/was what nambu sets apart from other clients. Thanks for working on it.
I’m unsure
-
Inappropriate?Jumping on the wagon a bit late, but... without multiple column view I need to run another application along-side just to be productive. Please hurry this one along.
-
Inappropriate?Good! Need multi-column view or I will have to go back to TweetDeck. Ugh. Keep plugging!
-
Tweetie is a different approach to Twitter, more a personal preference to how you want it presented, rather than worse or better, at least in my opinion. We are still missing some obvious parts but once those are in I am not sure a direct comparison can be summarized in this way from ether side. -
Inappropriate?I'm also really missing columns, I would love to know when it will make an appearance again
I’m missing columns
-
Inappropriate? We actually have columns working hidden by a secret hokey, but tweet composition is not yet implemented for it since it does not make sense to have a giant input area across the bottom like we had before. That is last main piece to put back in place before we can release MC view again. It is coming.
-
Inappropriate?Aw, c'mon — don't tease us with the secret hotkey and not let us peek! I'm still using Nambu 1.X until column view is ready!
I’m tantalized, yet flabbergasted.
-
Inappropriate?Lets us fix message composition and then I will hand that out. We wont bring it back into the official released until we let people that really want it back play with it a bit first.
-
Inappropriate? Please sign me up for the beta of the beta :) Can't wait to get my hands on multicolumn view, it's the primary reason I've been sticking with Nambu over some other options.
-
I will increase the priority to fix message composition for MC view and then we get some of you playing with it to help us improve it before releasing it to everyone. -
Inappropriate?yeah, deal break with me as well. I'll return as soon as MC does ;) Great job otherwise guys!
-
Inappropriate? My using Nambu was all about the multi-column view... it could sit open on my 2nd monitor without sucking all my system resources like the AIR apps do. Can't wait for it's return!
-
Inappropriate?any progress on this one? i would love to help you guys out in ironing out any quirks with multi cols. i think it would be killer
-
We have it all ready to implement, but the priority is stability and performance for the two views we have at the moment. After that we will be adding conversations and then finalizing multiple columns. What we have mind will be very slick but take some time to perfect. -
Inappropriate?I personally like the "outlook/mail" type interface. Takes up less screen real estate on my laptop. Preference, I suppose.
-
Inappropriate? With 2.0 and public beta, how far away is multi-columns now?

Inappropriate?+1 in favor of multicolumn view. The new beta is everything I could wanted from a native mac twitter client. Everything except multicolumn view which is essential for me and why I have chosen nambu in the first place.
I’m disappointed
-
Inappropriate?Personally, multi column view should be the #1 priority. I know i am not the only one that this is a total deal breaker for. Looking forward to this returning so I can use my favorite client again!
Keep up the good work guys!
I’m sad
-
I understand some people only want to use multiple columns. I get it. We are working on it. -
Inappropriate?Just to add, multiple column view in the Mac client is also pretty much essential. If Nambu can do it, then it will kill TweetDeck stone dead on the Mac. Adobe Air is absolutely horrible, and even on my computer (a new iMac, 4GB RAM), it's a total hob. Nambu, being Mac native, is slim and far, far superior.
Bring on the multiple column view! -
Inappropriate? So im going to remove Nambu now and may be come back when you have it.
I’m really Sad
-
Inappropriate?i do like the view with the stuff at the side but multi column option is a must, i have a big screen you know.
-
Inappropriate?Guys, this is such a missed opportunity!. You will be the only mac native twitter client that will have columns. You can gain so much market share from tweetdeck regardless on how much ram it would use. Echofon is a awesome mac native client and they don't even have column support, so lets do this!.
I’m confident
-
Inappropriate? The thing is, all the multi-col competitors have a different category in each column (like tweets, searches, mentions), rather than spilling over one of them into all 6 columns, the way it should be. Just my two cents.
I’m thankful
-
Inappropriate?I hope for a comeback soon. Until then, I will rather use the previous version, I believe. It is because of the multicolumn-view, that I really like it. The current version rather reminds me of Socielite... Please do make it comeback. Thanks !
