Direct Messaging Lost 1.9.1.3b
Where did direct messaging go? Version 1.9.1.3b (331).
It was in the last update, we lost it in this one. You can no longer send from within the status update box unless you type out and you cannot click on the persons name and get a DM option (this might not have been there, but it sure would have been nice!)

I am closing this one out now. It has become confused, and these are all obselete now with the addition of the Direct node in Outline View. Also, in the next update to 1.9.1.6b we have added the feature to reset the tweet composition window.

Inappropriate? The option to DM was there in the gear menu on the individual tweet in the last update (1.9.1.2b), but is missing in the latest (1.9.1.3b).
The idea that was in the last public release of Nambu, of the -> button next to the account name popup, was also a good one, it just needed to be fully implemented; i.e., Nambu should be able to retrieve a list of followers from Twitter (since you can only DM followers), and that list should pop up when you hit the -> menu, allowing you to select one to DM. Message composition then proceeds as normal.
Re-instating the DM functionality of the tweet gear menu, coupled with a full implementation of the -> button idea from the public release, would make DM's with Nambu perfect. Of course, you could also argue for an @ button in the same area for casual replies/publicly viewable messages directed at a single user.

Inappropriate?I went to send a direct message, and couldn't do it from combined view. I had to switch to standard view, click on Messages, find a DM from the person I wanted to send one too and click "Reply." Please fix this! I miss the one-click "Send a direct message" item from the gear menu in combined view.

The direct messaging implementation within Nambu has never been very good in my opinion. We will be fixing it. -
Inappropriate?Another issue that's cropped up with Direct Messaging (not sure if this should be another topic or not):
I started to reply to a direct message from the Direct Message item in the combined view by clicking on the gear menu for the DM and choosing "reply". Nambu changed the function indicator from "Status Update for scascot" to "scascot >> $USERNAME". However, in the end, I decided to not reply to the Direct Message.
The problem is that this left the function indicator stuck in the "scascot >> $USERNAME" mode, with no way to switch it back to "Status Update", short of quitting Nambu and restarting it. There needs to be a way to handle an aborted DM, and switch out of DM mode.

This is a problem with the current implementation vs. the old one. We will be adjusting it very soon. -

Inappropriate?I'm thoroughly confused. How the heck do you send a DM in the new Nambu to someone you have never received a DM from?
I can't figure it out.
I’m confused
