Automatic Updating not Polling Correctly

Auto update checking (at launch) does not automatically check for updates.

For instance: Today (09/16/09) I got a notification of a new update to the private beta. Since I only have the private beta on my notebook, I started it up (note: I use this notebook every day, and had been using it earlier today with Nambu running). Upon launching Nambu, it did not notify me of an update. I went to preferences, and clicked on "Update", and noted that the last time for an update check was on 09/13/09 (3 days ago), even though I use this computer and the Nambu private beta every day, and auto update checking is set for "Daily" and to download beta versions.

Clicking on the "Check Now" button downloaded and installed the latest update.
